That's a cool way to get char on just the rim. I think I would have tried to awkwardly mask or something and it wouldn't have worked.

I also added some felt feet to the bottom (rather than trying to carve feet into it) and it's actually a useable bowl now. #woodturning
Show PostI turned a lovely big piece of laburnum in April. I don't often get big pieces of wood, so I was really excited and I made a good job of it. It had a small crack but I filled that and the result was really nice. #woodturning
