What's sort of weird about AI, is that as a consumer product, it's more associated with more esoteric tasks you wouldn't expect it to do, generate coherent images or whatever. And this added a sense of gravitas and stakes to the party, I think

Sometimes I really look inside of myself and try to think, if ten years ago, someone told me that AI would be an unpredictable product that sort of bungles tasks and isn't easy to program and is a problem for cyber-security. And I do think I'd have said, "yeah that makes enough sense"
