I think it is true that a reflexive desire to paint anyone who's wrong about anything as inherently in community with fascists (1) exists in places like bluesky and (2) is probably bad epistemic practice but yeah, the mainstream has the exact opposite issue

Right right right. Fully agreed. I am one hundred percent not saying it was staged. And honestly, if it was staged, I feel like a whole lot more people would’ve been killed. Or, the bullet, which was meant to miss, hit and did the whole world a giant favor.

Sure, but a shooter aiming for Corey Comperatore is also about as likely to hit Trump as a shooter aiming for Trump was to hit Comperatore. It's not nearly as impossible as the ear-graze but you still have to assume a level of comfort with Trump getting hit that conflicts with the conspiracy.
