I made it to 43. Since having bariatric sleeve surgery on Sept 10th, I've lost 31 pounds, which is a ridiculous number and not what I'm focused on. What I'm joyful about is in the past year I've lost 92, and unlike previously, I can keep it off. 🧵

Yesterday’s sunrise started softly, with a hot peach-pink glow on the horizon between cool silver sky and lake. The glow was just beginning to spread to the heavy clouds overhead but not yet stretching south and west as I looked around from the rocky end of the little spit.
