Humans seem prone to a degree of hubris, and doctors that don't regularly see debilitating chronic diseases seem to see percentage odds of catching something debilitating as being vanishingly tiny. When people get too comfy working around risk, the risk awareness tends toward zero. 😬

Glad to see the @nytimes.com finally reporting on the harms of repeat Covid infections. But I will say many doctors are sadly still dismissive about long Covid - if they truly were concerned, they'd be wearing N95 masks around patients.
