3. I don’t think you could erode public trust in the court much further. The only place to go is up. And ethics reform with teeth will help boost trust in the court regardless of size. Move the Marshalls to the judiciary and create consequences for ethics violations. 3/

2. The more justices, the more difficult it becomes for the court to simply be a lever of power for the majority. It becomes exponentially harder to get an ideological consensus with more justices. 2/
