Today, the E.mbrace study is published in #Lancet Infectious Diseases: a vaccine against infections by #Escherichia #coli failed. Study was similar to the CAPiTA study for a pneumococcal vaccine, only not for the outcome. Why? Read my substack: mbonten.substack.com/p/e-coli-is-... (1/)

Above all readers need to be warned to ignore importance measures that are not accompanied by uncertainty intervals.
