Clennon Lakes visit yesterday looking for, and failing to find, a Yellow-browed Warbler but did find Ivy Bees Colletes hederae still making the most of the flowering Ivy. They may persist until November. Out on the lakes were a pair of Little Grebes

Macular hole in right eye, surgery needed in both, an unexpected diagnosis today. Stumbling out of the opticians, pupils fully dilated from testing, I decided to stick with the planned #PatchBirding & to train my left as my scope eye. Caspian Gull, Jack Snipe, Otter & Weasel 🪶 #LowCarbonBirding
