Show PostAgree these are the worst pics ever of a modern day 1st for Britain, but experienced Cornish and British seawatchers and others more experienced I have spoken to are agreed it is exactly that.

Show PostWent to Hardy's Monument area this morning. Didn't find a pinch point for viz mig, with odds and ends of most things, but a good few hundred Redwings was nice. Pic is a crap, back of camera, shot of a single Brambling from this morning.
Show PostBreakfasting in a farm shop in North Cornwall on our way home from a week at Porthgwarra. Phenomenal north-easterly passage of Redwings now under way - must be 10s of 1,000s. It’s been dead as a dodo all week so the floodgates are clearly opening now I’m leaving, as per my usual good timing.
