Whoever wrote "The plan should be to adapt for at least 2 degrees, if not more" really has no idea about tipping points and how radically different a +2°C world would be from anything we are familiar with. It is imperative that we make every effort to prevent getting to that point.

Maybe farming can adapt in some regions. I have no expertise in that. Adapting to changes such as committed sea-level rise, increased migration and the climate effects of likely changes in ocean circulation is going to be more challenging.
