That I ask those questions, and you won’t dismiss them as conspiracy theory nonsense, is why this court has lost credibility. There are clearly some members with no clear regard for the Constitution, Congress, history, or precedent. Impeachment or expansion are the only durable responses.

Docket reform and an IG are good reforms, as would be clearer ethics reporting. There are likely others, including some sort of term limit or age limit, and Congress should pursue those as well. But I don’t frankly see how they take hold within the court without expansion being part of the deal.
