Show PostI have a very high IQ because I am GREAT at taking the standardized tests that claim to measure IQ, that being all it’s good for. You want me to use the quadratic equation or change my own oil or remember where I put my keys, though, you’re screwed.
Show PostThe biggest upside of having a(quite severe in my case) aphantasia is that i can read horror genre books without being even slightly unnerved. You can't be terrified by a faint outline projected against a shapeless grayish void in your mind's eye
Show PostI'm the opposite of aphantasic and I love reading erotica lol I would have assumed having aphantasia would make written stuff maybe less engaging than other visual media, but I continuously find I can never predict how aphantasia affects people. Kinda fascinating!
