Was feeling burnt out from 3D lately, so I started my life-long dream of learning how to make games on Famicom. No AI involved, going through Pikuma's course, reading books, nesdev wiki, forums etc. ☺️ Started by learning 6502 asm first, but got filtered and went to C.

Perhaps I'm a bit neurotic, but I do like the NES space checker by Shiru (whose website appears to be down atm). The reality check of "Oh two complex sample music tracks are half a bank" keeps my expectations in check. That's all that's on bank 14 in this example. With bank 15 being my fixed bank.

I read to my youngest until he was well into his teen years. He always had the books he was reading on his own, and the "slow book" that we were reading together. It was a precious connection, and I absolutely treasured it.
