My first, first-author is out in PNAS today! Had lots of fun with these metallochaperones and am very proud of this work! Pretty simple NMR in this paper, but currently doing much more exciting NMR on these systems and learning a ton! 🧲🦠 www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

It’s been a busy couple months since starting my postdoc in the Skaar lab! Excited to share a preprint in collab with @giedroclab.bsky.social where we discovered COG0523 conformational switching is regulated by an intrinsic arginine finger-revising the current model for metallochaperone function!
