I’ve been trying for months to come up with an update post-cancer, but words and attention fall short. Mostly, I don’t think folks have space for a stranger’s chronic illness. Add to it that this platform, like all social media, demands output, and… I’m afraid I’ve become a has-been.

Of course. But I think everyone would agree that to a significant extent form follows function in proteins. And SecStrc is the first level of form after the sequence. It is somewhat unexpected to many that the evolutionary selection needed for it is not as stringent.
