This might be true at the congressional level but it’s getting shockingly bad with state parties right now.
Show PostI think what is happening in Ohio and Colorado, and in Michigan and Virginia, are somewhat counterpoints to the idea that it is rare that Dems embrace transphobia. It’s obviously common enough that Dems are willing to enact anti-trans policy at the state level for it to make an impact.
Show PostWhile we may not be there at the congressional level yet, the only way we will prevent it is by preventing those who seek to run on it from infecting the party. I say this as someone who wants Dems to win and whose wife is a Dem, so I’m not saying burn down all Dems or anything.
