But hearings don't have to be only about violations of law, and where are you getting that the 1st Amendment is a shield that can prevent a Congressional hearing?

No, we can‘t “censor” them, but we sure the Hell can castigate them for their slamming their fist on one side of the scales, call attention to it, and use it to persuade folks using the Meta platforms to seek better – less authoritarian-supporting, Epstein Class-coddling – social media platforms.

Hell, I’ve testified in a Senate hearing, and I’m a harmless dork nobody cares about. Congressional hearings are, at their core, fact-finding, not adversarial. The only become that way if theres something you don’t want to talk about
