Yes— the scale of US-European liberalism's support for Israel is unique but the nature of it is not necessarily. Western liberalism also routinely looks the other way on Saudi, the Emirates, Azerbaijan, Egypt Pakistan India etc for pretty similar reasons of nakedly illiberal expediency.
