Seconding the Delta recommendation. Their cabin crews are great; might be worth saying hi/that it's your first flight/etc when you board. Noise canceling headphones are handy for everyone (the engine drone gets annoying) and wipes for armrests/tables/etc. A soft hoodie rolled-up doubles as a pillow

Delta is going to be consistent and knows how to handle most situations. Depending on your kid's needs they might love being on board. My son reads the plane safety thing for half of the flight. Bring snacks, books, and games and a headset if that's something he uses. The time passes quickly!
