I've never been on a plane before. My grandfather's health is rapidly declining and I need to go to Florida with my five-year-old, who also happen to be autistic, from Colorado. I need advice on which airlines are good and how to actually do this.

Delta is going to be consistent and knows how to handle most situations. Depending on your kid's needs they might love being on board. My son reads the plane safety thing for half of the flight. Bring snacks, books, and games and a headset if that's something he uses. The time passes quickly!
