There is a nice moment in the BBC 1993 doc about Larkin where Dunn is asked about PL's horrible politics, and he is just affectionately but briskly dismissive - "Philip was politically a blockhead". That wisdom, humour, and sanity enhanced his own work, I think.

Very sorry to report that Douglas Dunn has passed away. He was the finest Scottish poet of the post-war period. Dougie was also someone we knew and loved as a dear friend, mentor and teacher, and he will be deeply missed.

I had a great time reading at the #Cambridge Poetry Festival with so many brilliant poets. Thank you so much CB1 Poetry for organising these events. Some flowers for you 🙂🌼

It's pretty much the only thing I listen to on BBC lincs aswell now! Yep still busy! 1 more field of wheat to drill when sugar beet is cleared, winter ploughing and some glasshouse jobs to do.
