I'm also Canadian. I live in Calgary and work in the oil industry. The closest thing to an answer I've heard was "I like that he's right-wing but I think this guy's going to cost me money." This from a guy who mainlines Fox and Rogan and Carlson and Levant. (not me)

He truly is the biggest crybaby in all of human history, and it just saddens me that so many men think he’s a tough guy, that so many men think he’s a real “man.” He’s the antithesis of a real man. He’s a liar, a coward, a crybaby, and a cheat. Nothing manly about any of that.
