for me the revenue part was the wake-up call. building is easy to lose yourself in. getting anyone to pay is a different skill. how far are you in?

Yeahh… and I think it generally got worse over time. It used to be somehow easier to forgive Apple some complexities in the process, even if some technicalities were much more complicated before (the whole certificate-UDID-provisioning profile generation stuff, pre automatic signing & TestFlight).
