Pre-writing thought: There’s a whole project someone could do on the uses of academic & para-academic titles in various non-academic spaces (like games). Something something the difference between signaling membership in a guild & community of practice/accountability vs. Solo Authority.

Show PostExperimenting with the Desperation format, wondering what the minimum viable card count is, and I think the answer is 16. I'm eager to try this very short version out. Replayability suffers and it will play fast, but I'm not sure these are huge problems at this scale.
