The “fun” part is when your immune system decides that it needs extra energy to do its job and obviously you can’t be trusted to LIE DOWN AND REST unless it MAKES you do that and it will 100% make you do that. It has the means and by god it will use them.

Rejected for a Big Foundation Thing I applied for that I was hoping would be a lifeline for my career and my lab right now. Sharing not because I need pity or anything, but just to say that it's so hard right now in ways I genuinely don't think some people realize. If you're struggling, I see you.
