“Intervene” You have this vision that every single EU presidency and all the member states will rush through the process with a minimum level of assessment of the terms and alignments and convergences unless they’re controlled by Putin. I think that’s naive. All sorts of ways of not prioritising.

That’s not going to be translated into formal referendum terms because that’s not how the EU works. That’s going to be translated into expressions of lack of confidence way before it gets to any sort of final vote. All sorts of ways disquiet can come out. Otoh you think no member state will mind.
