This is great. I know, personally, that dealing with the suicide of another is hard. It's one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with. I've worried hard for her over the past few days.

Yeah, and one thing this discourse is showing is that most people really don't understand bipolar disorder at all, and how everyone can do everything right and do the best they can, and it doesn't always work just like how cancer treatment doesn't always work

I'm glad to hear that. It's been a while since we've talked so I didn't want to reach out and add more to her plate, but the way people are reacting to the note and blaming her is doing a good job of showing why exactly making threats to try and keep a spouse from leaving is so heavy a threat.

It's a hard topic, and when you are dealing with it, so many people start looking for the nearest exit when it's brought up, and it makes it hard to get the help needed. I refuse to do that, so I'm nakedly open about it and engaging. I even DM'd with Ryan about it in the past.
