Shame them mercilessly and loudly, but also acknowledge that millions of us were enormous lifelong fans who also walked away the moment Rowling started posting her transphobia on main. We're not at fault for having once loved the series, and when you mock everyone who loved it you miss the point.

I need the Harry Potter rants to come with 100% less fan-shaming adults who loved the series. It is absolute bullshit to shame someone for loving children's fantasy, one of the most popular literary genres in existence. Obvs shame them for still clinging to it now. Not for having ever loved it.
