they won't do that of course because it would mean running a disciplined company that competes on consistency and quality instead of hoping grandpa forgets how to log into his apple tv account to cancel

as individual services i don't think these are unfair and the larger problem is the difficulty of paying for all of them at once. i think the solution is to just finish reinventing cable: bring back pilot season with free weeks so people can know what they want to watch for the next 4-6 months
