This is how authoritarianism gets wrapped in religion. When a politician is seen as doing God’s work, questioning him becomes questioning God. That’s a dangerous mindset in a democracy. No leader is divinely appointed or above accountability.

Religious freedom should never be a shield for child abuse or medical neglect. When faith conflicts with a child’s right to live, protecting the child must come first. No religious belief should ever override that responsibility.
