YES!! And one of our grocery stores gave out Gold Bond stamps so it was kind of a battle of the bands, But the green stamp catalog. I thought, in my 10-year-old brain, had better stuff. I found this as I was packing up my mom's house to move her into senior apartments. 1973!

I never heard of Gold Bond stamps. I don't remember ever seeing the S&H catalog. I think my mother got things for the kitchen with the stamps. I didn't really understand how they worked back then. I young but I remember the taste.

I remember it was my job to paste the stamps into the books. After we had a book or two, I was allowed to use them for something I wanted. I got a set of carnation pink sheets that I used until they wore out years later. I was ten when I snagged the prettiest sheets I'd ever owned!

I still remember the taste of licking all those green stamps. Then my mother started using a wet sponge instead of me licking them. I was so gratful.
