On this day in 1880 a Czech Jewish woman was born (in Austro-Hungarian Empire). On the 23 Jul 1942 she was deported to Theresienstadt & on the 22 Oct 1942 to Treblinka extermination camp where she was murdered. Although married her spouse isn't listed. Her name was Ema Fischerová

I am sorry you have had to live under that threat and fear Your comment awakened a lot of the frustration I have on my geographical side of the diaspora. Too many act like this was long gone, or like our neighbours couldn't possibly bring it back here
Show Posttreating Jewish safety as settled everywhere, or using Israel’s political status to dismiss what a Jew is telling you about their own circumstances is disingenuous and lazy. “All are safe” is not true just because many people have been safe.

I’m sorry you have to live under this ugly cloud of antisemitism and fear for your safety. I can’t imagine any Jewish person, no matter where they live, feels totally safe and with good reason.
