While many believe AI token prices will go up over time, they’ve actually been getting cheaper as competition from open weight models puts pressure on the pricing from frontier labs. Additionally, developers seem to have little qualms around switching models. So far, no one seems to have a moat.

Most mergers destroy shareholder value but even then, this is an incredible amount of value destruction by the Ellisons. Skydance’s market cap is now less than half what Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery were worth before the merger. Two turkeys don’t make an eagle.

One of the many things I love about El-Sayed is that he's willing to engage with someone hostile if it gets them to admit the premises behind that hostility, to the extent that it becomes impossible to avoid the underlying bigotry. You want to go there, fine, but he's gonna make you own it.
