I don’t particularly get what people find sexy about porno actors pretending to be related to each other, but are we seriously putting people on a register for that? Are we sending them to jail. This doesn’t feel particularly well thought through, to me.

This is the thing that really galls me. The left did everything by the rules: won people over with argument, earned their positions through reasoned debate. And then they hit the brick wall veto that was Peter Mandelson’s friends and his media allies saying: absolutely not, we will not allow it.
