I'm still pissed off about it because indie animators are not only expected to be perfect and endlessly innovative, but apparently they're also supposed to do all this without any kind of compensation. Just live off the energy of the universe like a bodhisattva and sleep under a bridge.

I'll never forget the fucking audacity of some people (children mostly, I hope) getting upset over the last episode of TADC being theater exclusive for 2 weeks. It went on to make 38 million dollars. Do these entitled shitheads think the studio would have ever made that much money selling plushies?

a cool thing about indie animation is that it's expected to save the entire industry, every show has to look better than the things the fans grew up on or it's a waste of time, there's no union to be found anywhere, no budget for any of it, and asking the audience to pay anything to watch is illegal
