There is a much bigger problem of seniors who end up homeless because they don’t have enough income to live on after working their whole lives. And there are cases where people see property tax increases that they can’t afford. But that’s not the people doing this “tax revolt.”

Here’s what’s going on. Baby boomers bought houses for cheap and then spent decades showing up to meetings demanding nothing else could be built in their neighborhoods so that their houses would see exponential increases in value, and now they don’t want that value taxed.
