Do you like riddles(and molecular biology)? Maybe you can help me solve this one. We’ve found a short piece of DNA (a plasmid) present in almost all plague samples from the Second Plague Pandemic (1338-1840), but absent in all earlier or later plague cases. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
