I was off Shetland for a couple of days when the Chestnut Bunting appeared but thankfully it hung around for me to enjoy its subtle beauty yesterday afternoon. Today, in somewhat testing conditions, this pod of 6 Orca put on a monochromatically magnificent display just 5 minutes from home.

Whereabouts were you in Normandy, Paul? We had a pair of B-s Kites around Neuilly-le-Vendin daily for a week in early Sept. That's just south of Bagnoles sur l'Orne. Thought they were supposed to be quite scarce still.
