Our first batch of Greek yoghurt, hung in cheesecloth at 6am to let the whey drain out. Very pleased with the results. Made with fresh Holstein-Friesian milk from a local farm vending machine. Literally milk on tap. We’ll use the whey in our compost bin and to spray our berry plants.

Starting on the berry patch today: raspberries and blueberries. Just tested the soil pH - the blueberry bed is sitting at 7.0, far too neutral. Next up soil conditioning, then working to bring the acidity down to where it needs to be. #KitchenGarden 🫐

A better look at the cherry and blackberry crumble. I reckon this shot captures it more clearly, and I might just prefer it to the first.

The allotment’s full of blackberries and black cherries at the moment. I made a crumble using both and served it warm with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream. Everything from scratch. Simple, seasonal, and just right. #KitchenGarden ⋆ ✦ ̚ 🍒ɞ ˚ ⋆ 🥧
