My husband is Jewish and he describes the hebrew school pressure to support Israel as overwhelming. I imagine the converts feel it even more intensely.

I watched a friend from undergrad go from converting to Judaism because they loved the faith to trying to justify settler violence. What the fuck is going on? Why are so many normal ass people getting sucked into right wing extreamist ideaology?
