Not the first time with Hobbes on this topic, either — he’s been pretty nasty to people with long-COVID and is insufferably arrogant and dismissive toward people who know better because he thinks a debunking podcast makes one a master of the universe. Can’t believe I used to respect him.

Many people in fact do not understand how masks or vaccines work. Likely, most of them. And people have influence even if you dismiss them as non-serious. One could say nobody serious accuses someone of being "explicitly antivax" for two words pulled out of context, yet here we are.

You know, I've seen a lot of people who would call you anti-vax for that, saying that by masking you're showing you believe the vaccines don't work. After all, why would you bother if you think the vaccines "significantly reduce transmission"?

The reason we don't have good ventilation and testing is because people keep pushing vaccines as the only thing anyone needs to do. Just like you are doing right now.
