These people love Trump because he gave them permission to be the bigots and bullies and sadists they always wanted to be , and then they’re surprised when their kids no longer want to have a relationship with them.

These articles also all point to an anti-therapy movement, blaming therapists for adults choosing who they interact with. Authoritarians always go after the teachers, intellectuals, doctors/therapists... This has shades of the whole TDS movement, blaming the healthy for not willing to be sick.

have a dad just like this. can confirm he is not taking "no contact" very well at all. going no contact is the only respite some of us get from parents like these and yet they will still find a way to blame their children.
