I got in on the pink Vestal act yesterday with this cheeky chappy sat on a concrete bollard in Falmouth. Not quite as pink as some of the other individuals seen on here but I was excited to see a slightly pinker critter. #TeamMoth

Lovely moths I have been fortunate to find females overwintering on moss covered Oak trees a couple of times whilst out watching roosting Long-tailed Tits. This one in mid-December 2024

Why would an animal weighing less than a teaspoon bother flying 150 miles in a night? We have fitted almost 100 with 'airtags for bats' to find out. When one flies near an iPhone, its position is pinged to us. Look what Mike and Mira did last night! @batconservation.bsky.social @sussex.ac.uk
