Wasn't extractive commercial reuse the whole point of the open access/science movement and the CC BY/CC0 licenses? Don't governments fund science to help drive economies? I keep coming back to @aj-boston.bsky.social defining the open movement as "wait, no, not like that, back and forth forever”
