It’s frustrating that Reform says it’s taking political journalists for fools yet most of them will continue to give party the benefit of the doubt, indulge its demagogues and help launder what the party represents.

The program currently on ITV about racism in Reform is pretty damning, and 20 years ago it would have ended everyone's careers. Unfortunately now at least 30% of the electorate not only won't bat an eyelid but would eagerly join in their openly racist behaviour.

(I’m also not convinced they’re talking about faith. I think it’s more about skin colour - I’ve heard from many people who’ve been on the receiving end of Islamophobia and they’re not Muslim they’re just brown).
