As the discourse has moved on, I’m withdrawing my endorsement of You Can See Everything as one of the best movies I’ve ever seenand agreeing with those who think it would have been better for it to have consisted of Nathan Fielder reading Bad Blood and court documents out loud for three hours.

I think it’s not *not* a documentary, but it’s more honest about the slipperiness of the choices all documentaries have to make, I think.

I think one of the interesting things about YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING is that some of the more tepid endorsements, or the rare negative reviews, seem to miss what the point of the movie is. I’ve heard people saying this movie doesn’t give a definitive picture of Holmes, or explain what she did wrong…
