Brian, what are some of the impacts of inundation expected at Major flood stages from tidal in Miami? Any resources you can point me toward to view or similar prior events?
Show PostI remember the parking lots at Matheson Hammock being underwater by a foot at times, & that was a long time ago, like 20 years ago. I can't imagine how bad it is these days. Seems like a good use for a drone to get some pictures.
Show PostI know it was probably more casual parlance in 1956, but "ganged up" makes me instantly picture celestial bodies with crowbars who "just wanna talk".
Show PostWow, close to major coastal flooding on 3 straight days without even a notable storm present — just a big 'ol high pressure to the north!
Show PostBack in the 1950's, King Tides in South Florida were explained as a "celestial conspiracy." "...the sun, moon, and earth ganged up to produce the phenomena." [The Miami News - October 19, 1956]
