Good that you have got back and saw some interesting wildlife. It also means that the few moths that are around will now get "mugged" before reaching me, but I can live with that.

Back from a week away in Normandy, mainly there for the food and wine, but fitted in some wildlife. Black-shouldered Kite (one of ~6, but always distant), Lesser Cockroach, Nosferatu Spider (best name ever for a Spider!) and a Herring Gull on Tatihou island which was ringed in Rotterdam in June!

There is a race of Long-Tailed Tit sometimes referred to as the "Northern" race.........could be one of those ,had three White headeds by Dymchurch(Kent) church a few years ago.

I’ve seen/heard quite a few recently, but they are pretty common and vocal round here. Always a treat to find one creeping up a tree!
