I remember my first GDC was on a student pass valid only for Friday. it's such a funny mood, like half-empty, all the biz people are gone already. so I just strolled in to the Valve booth and made Robin Walker play my weird gay divorce HL2 mod, like no big deal. simpler times

it happens that i've been thinking about this for other reasons lately and will voice some of it on a podcast soon but it is REALLY interesting how fiction was historically disparaged for being untrue and misleading but has now warped into a reservoir of "possibilities to which I can feel entitled"
