Mom passed away on Tuesday at 17.45. We all gave her hugs and kisses, she drank a cup of tea, and then she went. Her organs went to 4 different people which offers me more comfort than I expected. She really is a pioneer. But we are all super sad. I miss her so much already.

I also find it fascinating how many of the people who are hype for longevity and wanting to live to 150 or 200 or whattheeffever....are young. My dear you don't rely on twice yearly epidurals and you're not on your second hip and it shows.
Show PostSome important science notes in here (there's only so much we can replace!) But also I think so many people say they're after lifespan. I don't think they are. They're after HEALTHSPAN. They're after a longer QUALITY of life, not a longer life itself.

The Hayward Gallery consistently has the best exhibitions in London — Chiharu Shiota, Tavares Strachan and Hiroshi Sugimo were all incredible. Not sure “the Southbank centre” can really go under the radar but it should be more remarked how good it is compared to other galleries.
